Job Title: Operations Research Analyst
Direct Access USA LLC is a Futures Commission Merchant registered with the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and a member of the National Futures Association. Our company is an intermediary between buyers and sellers in the derivatives market, and our main business activity is clearing exchange-traded futures and options on futures. Direct Access focuses on providing Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) market futures clearing services to the parent company and providing futures clearing services to other futures companies and intermediaries without CME membership seats. The company provides clearing services for customers through its clearinghouse, which allows them to significantly mitigate and manage their risks.
To continue to provide our clients with high-quality services, we require the professional services of an Operations Research Analyst to analyze and optimize the company’s operational processes supporting the high-volume processing and clearing of exchange-traded futures and options transactions. The Operations Research Analyst will collect, validate, and interpret complex operational data, evaluate end-to-end transaction workflows, and identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for process improvement. The Operations Research Analyst will also develop quantitative models, performance dashboards, and scalable analytical methodologies to enhance reconciliation accuracy, reduce processing cycle times, and improve operational throughput.
The hired individual will be responsible for the following duties:
Company’s Operational Data Analysis (70% of the time)

Collect, validate, and interpret operational data related to the processing and clearing of exchange-traded futures and options transactions, including workflow timing, volume patterns, and exception handling.

Evaluate end-to-end operational processes supporting buyer-seller intermediation in derivatives markets to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for process improvement.

Analyze operational performance indicators such as trade lifecycle cycle times, reconciliation error rates, margin call workflow throughput, and clearing confirmation turnaround.

Develop operational reports and dashboards that quantify and summarize operational trends, efficiency gaps, service levels, and process deviations to support management decision-making.

Support continuous improvement initiatives by documenting operational findings and presenting recommendations for more efficient transaction processing.
Operational Data Analytics Model Optimization (30% of the time)

Recommend improvements to operational data collection processes and information systems to improve data accuracy, consistency, and usability.

Design, apply, and test data analytics and quantitative models to optimize operational processes, enhance operational scheduling, and reconciliation processes.

Develop scalable quantitative algorithms and computational methodologies to analyze futures market and transaction data to support high-volume futures trading and clearing data processing.

Analyze the implementation of model updates to identify areas of improvement for new futures products, contract specifications, and clearinghouse calculation methodologies.

Design automated data preparation workflows to support recurring model execution and recalculation.
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in operations research or a closely related field with coursework in information systems and quantitative reasoning.

2 years' work experience performing risk analysis to assess a company's operational risk.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL.
