Job Title: Sr. Financial Operations Specialist
Direct Access USA LLC is a Futures Commission Merchant registered with the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and a member of the National Futures Association. Our company is an intermediary between buyers and sellers in the derivatives market, and our main business activity is clearing exchange-traded futures and options on futures. Direct Access focuses on providing Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) market futures clearing services to the parent company and providing futures clearing services to other futures companies and intermediaries without CME membership seats. The company provides clearing services for customers through its clearinghouse, which allows them to significantly mitigate and manage their risks.
To continue to provide our clients with high-quality services, we require the professional services of a Sr. Financial Operations Specialist to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of our financial operations. Given the high volume and complexity of futures and financial derivatives transactions, the Sr. Financial Operations Specialist is essential for designing and implementing mathematical models and analytical tools that support real-time trade monitoring, multi-dimensional data reconciliation, and validation of clearing and settlement processes. By applying quantitative methods to analyze clearing data, identify discrepancies, and model data flows across business lines, the Sr. Financial Operations Specialist will help mitigate financial and operational risks while ensuring compliance with stringent regulatory requirements.
The hired individual will be responsible for the following duties:
• Design and develop the mathematical tools and techniques in our company’s core trading and clearing systems to conduct daily trade monitoring and multi-dimensional data reconciliation.
• Apply analytical techniques to review the validation of daily clearing processes and fund settlement data to identify discrepancies and ensure the accuracy of transaction processing outputs.
• Analyze clearing data for future and financial derivatives using quantitative methods to validate transaction accuracy, identify discrepancies, and support compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Analyze and model data flow across different business lines using quantitative techniques to support risk management, compliance, and other financial functions through integrated data analysis and process optimization.
• Utilize data analytical methods to investigate and organize backend data relationships and develop and optimize automated MS Excel VBA scripts to enhance data accuracy, efficiency, and validation processes.
• Review and optimize existing operational financial data reports using MS Excel data visualization tools to interpret complex trading data and support risk monitoring and management decision-making.
• Review daily settlement reports to identify exposure trends, performance drivers, and unusual position movements, and to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
• Master’s degree in financial analytics, data science, or another closely related field;
• 2 years' work experience analyzing company financial data to develop forecasts to improve operational efficiency;
• Proficiency in MS Excel, SQL, Python, and ERP software.
